CAS number: 25114-58-3
Molecular formula: In. (C2H3O2)3
Molecular weight: 291.95
Properties: White needle-like crystals.
Melting point: 280℃
Purity: 99.99%;
Soluble in mineral acids and acetic acid
Craft:
1) Concentrated acetic acid reacts with indium (III) hydroxide;
2) Indium acetate reacts with acetic acid in the environment of hydrogen peroxide to form indium acetate.
The indium(III) hydroxide was dissolved in a minimum volume of concentrated acetic acid heated to 70°C, filtered and evaporated to obtain white crystals with a melting point of 280°C.
Indium acetate (III) can also be synthesized by reacting indium with acetic acid in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
Keep the receptacle sealed
Put in a tight receptacle and store in a cool, dry place
Will not decompose if used and stored according to specifications. Can be recrystallized from aqueous acetic acid. With pyridine, ethylenediamine, tetramethylammonium hydroxide, etc., to obtain adducts.
