Lithium battery materials are mainly composed of cathode materials, cathode materials, diaphragm and electrolyte, in addition to packaging and other parts.

The main materials of lithium battery

 Lithium battery materials mainly consist of: anode materials, anode materials, diaphragm, electrolyte.  

1. Among lithium cathode materials, the most commonly used materials are lithium cobalt acid, lithium manganese acid, lithium iron phosphate and ternary materials (polymer of nickel cobalt manganese).  

2. Among the cathode materials, the cathode materials of lithium batteries are mainly natural graphite and artificial graphite.  The cathode materials being explored include nitride, PAS, tin oxide, tin alloy, nano anode materials, and some other intermetallic compounds.  

3. Market-oriented diaphragm materials are mainly polyethylene (POLYETHYLENE, PE), polypropylene (POLYPROPYLENE, PP) -based Polyolefin diaphragm.  In the structure of lithium battery, diaphragm is one of the key inner components.  

4. The electrolyte is prepared by high purity organic solvent, electrolyte lithium salt, necessary additives and other raw materials under certain conditions in a certain proportion.  

What are the new lithium battery materials?  

The application of ternary materials, lithium rich manganese based materials, high voltage electrolyte materials, silicon carbon anode materials, graphene, CNTs and some safety excipients will be a hot spot in recent years.  There is no absolute good or bad material, mainly depends on whether different material systems are matched, whether there is a relevant supporting process to support.  

1. High nickel ternary materials Generally speaking, high nickel ternary cathode materials refer to materials with a mole fraction of nickel greater than 0.6. Such ternary materials have the characteristics of high specific capacity and low cost, but also have defects such as low capacity retention rate and poor thermal stability.  At present, the safety of high nickel ternary materials is gradually solved by material modification and optimization, surface coating, adjustment of electrolyte and anode materials, etc.  I believe that this problem will be solved as time goes by and in-depth research will be conducted. Therefore, Xiaobian is optimistic about the future prospects of high nickel ternary materials.  

2. Silicon carbon composite anode material as a future lithium battery anode material, its theoretical capacity of about 4200mAh/g, more than 10 times higher than graphite anode 372mAh/g, its industrialization, will greatly improve the capacity of the battery.  

3. Graphene graphene has a high gram capacity, reversible capacity of about 700mAh/g, higher than the capacity of graphite anode.  In addition, graphene's good thermal conductivity ensures its stability in the battery system, and the spacing between graphene sheets is larger than that of graphite, so that lithium ions can diffuse smoothly between graphene sheets, which is conducive to improving the power performance of lithium batteries.  

4. Carbon nanotube carbon nanotube is a kind of graphitized carbon material, which has excellent electric conductivity. At the same time, due to its small depth and short stroke when removing lithium, as a cathode material, the polarization effect is small in high rate charge and discharge, which can improve the high rate charge and discharge performance of lithium battery.  

5. Coating diaphragm Diaphragm is very important for the safety of lithium battery, which requires the diaphragm to have good electrochemical and thermal stability, as well as to maintain a high degree of infiltration of electrolyte during repeated charging and discharging process.  Coated diaphragm refers to coating PVDF and other adhesives or ceramic alumina on the base film.  

The above is the introduction of the main materials and new materials of lithium battery.  Lithium batteries are generally composed of anode and cathode materials.  Cathode materials include lithium nickel acid, lithium manganese acid, ternary, lithium acid, lithium ferrous phosphate, etc., and cathode materials are generally amorphous carbon materials, graphitized carbon materials, silicon-based materials, nitride, new alloys, etc.
