Copper powder: a powder formed by grinding copper into powder, which is widely used in powder metallurgy, electric carbon products, electronic materials, metal coatings, chemical catalysts, filters, heat pipes and other electromechanical parts and electronic aviation fields.
Copper powder classification:
1. Atomized copper powder: Irregular powder of light rose red powder, produced by atomization method, widely used in diamond tools, powder metallurgy parts, chemical catalysts, carbon brushes, friction materials and welding electrodes.
2. Electrolytic copper powder: Red copper powder and pure copper powder are rose red dendritic powders, which are easily oxidized in humid air and can be melted in hot sulfuric acid or xiaosuan. They are widely used in diamond tools, electric carbon products, friction materials, conductive inks and Other powder metallurgy products.
3. Copper oxide powder: The particle size of copper oxide powder refers to a particle size of 100 mesh.
4. Bronze powder: refers to powder in the shape of a cyan ball, Sn5-7% Zn5-7% Pb2-7% CU margin, widely used in powder metallurgy oil-bearing bearings and diamond tools.
5. Brass powder: yellow irregular powder, used in bearing material, diamond products, powder metallurgy products.
6. Red copper powder: It is a kind of floating flake pigment, which is made of a certain proportion of copper powder, zinc powder and aluminum alloy powder through smelting, grinding, and classification. The coarser the particles of the copper powder, the stronger the metallic feeling and the more flickering, but the hiding power is poor. On the contrary, the particles are very small, the weaker the metallic feeling and the softer the color, the better the hiding power. The red copper has a pure and bright pink color and a strong metallic feeling. It can be achieved by choosing different particle diameters and hue according to different application fields and the desired metallic effect.
7. Atomized copper alloy powder: Copper is the basic raw material, with tin, lead, zinc and other alloy elements, is smelted at high temperature, and then high-pressure atomized with water (gas) as the medium. According to the alloy The powder composition is different and the production process is different, there are many varieties and specifications, and the product performance and use are different. It is widely used in powder metallurgy, chemical industry, electrical alloys and many other industries
8. Copper and gold powder: mainly use copper and zinc as alloying elements, with the traditional golden yellow of the Chinese nation. The particle size of the product is in the micron level, the average particle size d50 is 4-40 microns, and the microscopic appearance of the particles is scaly. As the process adopts advanced anti-oxidation technology, grading technology and surface modification technology, the copper-gold powder product has a series of advantages such as high hiding power, strong metallic feeling, temperature resistance and weather resistance.
Two, copper powder moisture detection method
(1) Karl Fischer method
The principle of Karl Fischer method is to inject a water-containing sample when the Karl Fischer reagent in the electrolytic cell of the instrument reaches equilibrium. The water participates in the redox reaction of iodine and sulfur dioxide. In the presence of pyridine and methanol, pyridine hydroiodate and methyl are generated. In pyridine sulfate, the consumed iodine is electrolyzed at the anode, so that the oxidation-reduction reaction continues until the water is completely consumed. According to Faraday's law of electrolysis, the iodine produced by electrolysis is proportional to the amount of electricity consumed during electrolysis. The Karl Fischer moisture analyzer can only measure to level 10-4 under the best conditions; the consumables (reagents) are large; and the measurement time is too long.
(2) Oven method
According to the principle of loss-on-drying, the sample is dried in an oven, weighed, and converted into a moisture value. It takes a long time to use the oven method to detect.
(3) Fast moisture meter determination method
According to the principle of weightlessness on drying, the sample is placed in the sample pan and heated and dried for moisture, which has a short time and strong stability.
