Silicon carbide has a broad application 

Silicon carbide (SiC) has a broad application prospect in semiconductor, nuclear energy, national defense and space technology due to its good wear resistance, high temperature mechanical properties, oxidation resistance and other properties.

Silicon carbide ceramics have the advantages of high pressure resistance, low creep at high temperature, and can adapt to various high temperature environments.  For example, silicon carbide beam, can be used in industrial furnaces bearing structure frame, its high temperature mechanical properties are excellent, long-term use does not bend deformation.  


Silicon carbide rod can be used for high temperature firing belt, it has good thermal conductivity, energy saving and does not increase the weight of kiln car.  


Silicon carbide cold air tube can be used in the cooling zone of the furnace, it has good cold and heat resistance, and its service life is 5~10 times that of stainless steel tube or alumina and other refractory materials.  


In addition, silicon carbide ceramics excellent resistance to high temperature and thermal shock performance, so silicon carbide is one of the main materials in rocket, aircraft, automobile engine and steam turbine thermal components.
