Two association standards for the magnesium industry will be formally implemented

  On September 23, the National Non-ferrous Metal Standardization Technical Committee organized the "Magnesium smelting use low rank coal high temperature pyrolysis gas" and two association standards were held in Xiaoyi city, Shanxi Province.It was learned from the meeting that two association standards, namely "High-temperature pyrolysis gas of Low-grade Coal for Magnesium Smelting" and "By-product Clean Carbon from High-temperature pyrolysis gas of Low-grade coal for Magnesium smelting", jointly formulated by Magnesium Branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association and Magnesium Industry Association of Fugu County, Shaanxi Province, will be implemented from October 1.

  These two standards fill the gap of domestic magnesium industry standards.Standard fit tightly with magnesium smelting coal pyrolysis gas in the aspects of technology, energy consumption and cost advantages, has a strong practical and scientific, for magnesium smelting in low rank coal high temperature pyrolysis gas process in the development of magnesium industry standardization and standardization of led demonstration effect, to promote the sustainable development of magnesium industry standard support and provide a solid guarantee, in the magnesium industry landmark in the development of high quality.

  According to Lin Ruhai, President of Magnesium Branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, party secretary and President of The Institute of Non-ferrous Metals Technology and Economics, the total output of raw magnesium in The Fugu area of Shaanxi province is 433,300 tons, accounting for nearly 60% of China's total output and nearly 50% of the world's total output. Fugu has a great influence on the national and even global magnesium industry.It is hoped that through the interpretation and analysis of the standard system, magnesium industry related enterprises will understand and earnestly implement the two standards, work together to build the standard system, develop the standard, and promote the healthy development of China's magnesium smelting industry through the standard strategy.

  Chen Hao, deputy head of Fugu County, said that the implementation of the two standards will solve the problem that low-grade coal high-temperature pyrolysis gas and its by-product clean carbon have no standard to follow, and provide the standard and theoretical basis for the promotion of Fugu model of magnesium smelting gas distribution section in the whole industry.Fugu County will resolutely focus on the implementation of the two standards, pooling the wisdom and strength of the industry, to achieve a higher level of development of China's magnesium industry.

  Zhang Dingfei, deputy director of The School of Materials and The National Magnesium Alloy Engineering And Technology Research Center at Chongqing University, explained the importance of customized gas sections for magnesium smelting production in the scientific community.The change of incorporating gas preparation section into raw magnesium smelting production process ADAPTS to the actual situation of China's magnesium smelting industry, realizes the comprehensive utilization of resources, and meets the development demand of raw magnesium smelting industry in the future.It is hoped that relevant enterprises in the magnesium industry will strictly abide by the implementation standards and actively publicize and implement them in and outside the industry, so as to make more contributions to the environmental friendliness, energy saving and consumption reduction, quality improvement and cost reduction of magnesium products in the magnesium smelting industry.
