Characteristic
NiSi is an austenitic nickel-silicon alloy. It can be used as the negative extreme of an n-type thermocouple. It has good thermoelectric stability above 1000 degrees C and has better antioxidant properties than E,J and K thermocouples.
The Nickel-Silicon alloy parameters:
Chemical composition: Si:4.3%, Mg:0.1% Ni
Density: 8.585 g/cm3
Resistance: 0.365 ohm mm2/m
Resistance temperature coefficient (20-100 degrees c): 689x10-6 /k
Thermal expansion coefficient (20-100 degrees c): 17x10 -6 /k
The thermal conductivity(100 degrees c): 27xwm-1 K -1
Melting point: 1420 c
Magnetic: no
