The Chinese Academy of Sciences has made new progress in surface coating technology for key components of equipment

Recently, the "Development of manufacturing Technology for Large Aluminum Parts Based on Welding and surface Coating Technology", a national key project of the Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences, passed the acceptance inspection.This project is undertaken by Xiong Tianying Team of Material Surface Engineering Research Department. It is mainly aimed at the surface coating technology requirements of ultra-low pollution and strong corrosion resistant parts, and it carries out key research on high performance pure Al or Al2O3, high density Y2O3 and Y2O3/ZrO2 coating technology.  

For equipment of the most demanding of plasma radiation interactions and the corrosive gas inferior vena body parts corrosion problems, xin-yu cui pair of researchers led by thermal spraying technology group has developed high density, Y2O3, Y/Y Y2O3 and Y2O3 / ZrO2 and SiC composite protective coating, break through the coating with the Al alloy substrate, thermal matching and the coating compactness key technical problems, such as developing on the surface of high purity high density Y2O3 coating assessed by user validation and application;The developed Y2O3/ZrO2 coating on the inner surface of the cavity has been verified and applied by the users, so as to realize the technical requirements of ultra-low pollution and strong corrosion resistance. It is the first time to realize bulk supply in China.

Rf substrate for coating equipment in pure Al use of low temperature and short life, deputy researcher Wang Jiqiang group led by cold spraying technology in pure Al Ni alloy substrate surface cold spraying coating, solved the 0.2 mm thin substrate surface coating thickness control and the substrate coating is easy to fall off in the process of repeated bending and so on many technical problems.The service temperature of the new substrate is increased from 300℃ to 400℃, and the service life is increased from 1~2 months to more than 6 months, reaching the international advanced level.At present, the bulk supply of more than 50,000 pieces.

The successful research and development and application of the above related surface coating technologies provide strong technical support and guarantee for manufacturing equipment, complete sets of processes and material technology.
