Lithium iron phosphate battery is a lithium ion battery which uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and carbon as the cathode material. The rated voltage of single cell is 3.2V and the cut-off voltage of charge is 3.6V~3.65V.
There are four main production materials of lithium iron phosphate battery: anode material, anode material, electrolyte and diaphragm.
1. Among the cathode materials, the most commonly used materials are lithium cobalt acid, lithium manganese acid, lithium iron phosphate and ternary materials (polymer of nickel cobalt manganese). The positive material occupies a large proportion (the mass ratio of positive and negative materials is 3:1~ 4:1), because the performance of the positive material directly affects the performance of the lithium battery pack, and its cost also directly determines the cost of the battery.
2. Among the cathode materials, the cathode materials are mainly natural graphite and artificial graphite. As one of the four components of lithium iron phosphate battery pack, the anode material plays an important role in improving the capacity and cycling performance of the battery, and is at the core of the middle reaches of the lithium battery industry.
3. Market-oriented diaphragm materials are mainly polyethylene, polypropylene based polyolefin diaphragm. In the structure of lithium battery, diaphragm is one of the key inner components. The performance of the diaphragm determines the interface structure and internal resistance of the battery, which directly affects the capacity, circulation and safety performance of the lithium battery pack. The diaphragm with excellent performance plays an important role in improving the comprehensive performance of the battery.
4. Electrolyte is generally made of high purity organic solvent, electrolyte lithium salt, necessary additives and other raw materials, under certain conditions, according to a certain proportion. Electrolyte plays the role of ion conduction between anode and cathode of lithium battery, which is the guarantee of high voltage and high specific energy of lithium iron phosphate battery.
