Current status of aluminum

In 2020, global primary aluminum production will be 65.27 million tons, up 2.53% year on year.

According to data from the International Aluminium Association, in December 2020, global primary aluminum production increased to 5.67 million tons, up 4.22% year on year, with average daily production of 182,900 tons/day, slightly down 0.33% from November 2020.

In December, China's aluminium production value of 3.28 million tons, Africa produced 135, 00 tons, north American production of 338000 tons, South America is 93000 tons, the Asian region (including China) output is 363000 tons, Western Europe is 281000 tons, in central and eastern Europe output of 352000 tons, the Oceania region output of 163000 tons, the gulf output of 495000 tons.

Miles Prosser, general secretary of the International Aluminium Association, says that aluminium production has continued to be stable despite the ongoing outbreak of the virus, which is an important part of the global economy.

Global primary aluminum production totaled 65.27 million tons in 2020 and 63.66 million tons in 2019.
