Chromium nitrate and cobalt nitrate were dissolved and mixed, the pH of the solution was adjusted to 9.3 with ammonia, then washed, filtered and roasted to obtain cobalt chromite. Cobalt dichromate can also be obtained by thermal decomposition of cobalt dichromate at high temperature.
Applications
As a pigment used in ceramics.
