Tungsten Rhenium Alloy (WRe (90/10 wt%))-Sputtering Target

Product Description

Characteristic

Tungsten-Rhenium alloy is a solid solution reinforced alloy with rhenium and tungsten as matrix. The rhenium content (mass fraction, %) commonly used in alloys is 3,5,10,25 and 26. It can be divided into low-content W-Re alloy (Re≤5%) and high content W-Re alloy (Re≥15%).

Application

Tungsten-Rhenium alloy has better mechanical properties and ductility and higher resistivity than pure tungsten, so it has better machinability and weldability. Tungsten-Rhenium alloy containing rhenium 3% can be used as the core metal of tube filament, gate wire and direct-heated cathode. Thorium-containing tungsten-rhenium alloy, that is, thorium-tungsten-rhenium alloy, is used as a direct-heated cathode for large emission tubes, which performance is better than thorium-tungsten cathode, not easy to deformation at high temperature.
