Application
Inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase and alkaline phosphate Sodium orthovanadate is used in protein analysis in molecular biology and acts as an inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatases, alkaline phosphatases and kinases. It is also used to prepare the stop solution in dephosphorylation assay of insulin receptor kinase. It serves as a reagent in the development of matrix Chip that utilizes surface-immobilized antibodies. Further, it is utilized for the preservation of protein tyrosyl phosphorylation state in cells and cell lysates.
