Manganese carbonate is a compound with the chemical formula MnCO3. Manganese carbonate occurs naturally as the mineral rhodochrosite but it is typically produced industrially. It is a pale pink, water-insoluble solid.

Application

Manganese carbonate is the raw material for manufacturing soft magnetic ferrite, synthetic manganese dioxide and other manganese salts.Used as a catalyst for desulphurization, as a pigment for glazes, coatings and varnishes.Also used as fertilizer and feed additives.It is used in medicine, welding electrode auxiliary materials, etc., as raw material for producing electrolytic manganese metal.
