Ammonium phosphomolybdate hydrate ((NH4)3PO4•12MoO3•xH2O (x≈3))-Powder
Product Description
Characteristic
The number and composition of crystalline water in ammonium phosphomolybdate obtained by different methods are different, and the color is also different. The solubility in water is small and can be easily reduced to blue phosphor molybdenum blue. Soluble in alkali, ammonia, phosphoric acid. Dissolve in acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, benzidine, turn blue. A colorless anhydrous ammonium phosphomolybdate crystal was obtained by losing crystalline water in the sulfuric acid vacuum dryer.
Chemical formula:(NH4)3PO4•12MoO3•xH2O (x≈3)
Formula weight: 1876.35g/mol(anhy)
Appearance:Brilliant yellow monoclinic series columnar crystals.
Density 3.15g/ml
Sensitivity: Ambient temperatures.
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water.
Application
Ammonium phosphomolybdate hydrate is used to prepare aluminosilicate-supported heteropolyacid catalysts, which finds application in the dehydration of glycerol in the gas phase to get acrolein. It is used as an inorganic ion exchanger involved in the removal of cesium from liquid wastes.
