Ammonium oxalate, (NH₄COO)₂•H₂O– more commonly written as (NH₄)₂C₂O₄ – is an oxalate salt with ammonium (sometimes as a monohydrate). It is a colorless (white) salt under standard conditions and is odorless and non-volatile. It is the ammonium salt of oxalic acid, and occurs in many plants and vegetables.

Application

In detinning of iron, metal polishing, determination of lead, calcium, and rare earth metalsAmmonium oxalate monohydrate is widely utilized as a buffering reagent and a dispersant to determine the surface interaction of platelets. It finds an application to study
