Application


Used as lewis acid in organic synthesis.For example, in the reaction of synthetic menthol, zinc bromide ACTS as lewis acid to catalyze the reaction of citronella aldehyde to carbonyl ene to produce isopolyl alcohol.

Used in photography, medicine, radiation protection and manufacturing of artificial fiber.
