Niobium telluride crystal

100% environmentally stable NbTe2 metal crystal: Niobium ditelluride is metal in bulk form. Similar to molybdenum disulfide, it has a layered structure (lamellae) with weak interlayer coupling. NbTe2 exhibits metallic and superconducting behavior. The superconducting transition is performed at a volume around 1.1 K, but it is expected to be higher for thinner sheets. Unlike other sources, our NbTe2 crystals were grown by defect-free and impurity free flux band techniques. Defection-free and defection-free properties allow researchers to observe clean superconductivity, phase transitions, and confidently perform quantum transport measurements in crystals.

Synthesis of niobium telluride granules

In a vacuum, the mixture of two simple substances is heated to 1000 ~ 1200℃; NbTe2 crystals can be obtained by gas-phase transport of I2.

Application of niobium telluride

Used as a two-dimensional infrared material.

Can be used as a lubricant.

Niobium telluride crystals are used as semiconductor electronic devices, sensor-detectors, optical devices, etc.
