Tungsten diselenide is an inorganic compound with the formula WSe₂. The compound adopts a hexagonal crystalline structure similar to molybdenum disulfide.

Application

Transition metal dichalcogenides are semiconductors with potential applications in solar cells. 

Mechanically exfoliated monolayers of WSe₂ are transparent photovoltaic materials with LED properties.
