A lead antimony alloy has multiple uses. Primary applications include bearing assemblies, ballasts, casting, step soldering and radiation shielding. 

It’s also a popular choice for lead-acid batteries, as it improves plate strength and charging characteristics. 

In addition, antimonial lead is used for bullets, electrical cable sheathing and more because of its antifriction properties.
