Hazard Class 6.1(B)

Preparation of potassium metal

According to the stoichiometric ratio of KOH: H6TeO6=2∶1, the concentrated solution of potassium hydroxide is added to the boiling medium concentration of protellurite solution. After boiling for a short time, the crystallization of potassium tellurite dihydrate can be precipitated. Filter with a glass sand core funnel, wash with a small amount of water at 0℃, and finally dry in a desiccator equipped with anhydrous calcium chloride.

Applications of potassium tellurate

For testing of pathologic bacteria in plasma or vaccines

Potassium tellurate preservation

Keep sealed and dry.
