Characteristic

It is a binary alloy with palladium base and gold.The continuous solid solution is formed by the infinite mutual solution of palladium and gold. The liquidus and solid line are very close to each other.

PdAu5, PdAu10, PdAu20, PdAu35 and other alloys. 

Hydrogen permeation velocity (500℃)： 4.0-5.0cm3 /cm2·min

Tensile strength (500℃)： 70.6-114.7mpa

Vickers hardness： 559-666.9mpa

Modulus of elasticity coefficient -16×10^-6 ~ +50×10^-6/℃. 

The alloy has good plasticity and can be easily processed into films, capillaries, filaments and plates.

Application

Used as diffusion membrane for high purity purification, chemical utensils, rayon spinneret, catalyst for nitric acid production, fuses, fuel cell electrodes and constant elastic materials.
