New material industry development summit forum held in Mianyang

From September 8th to 11th, the 9th China (Mianyang) Science And Technology City International Science and Technology Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Science and Technology Fair") was held in Mianyang city, Sichuan Province, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Government of Sichuan Province.

As an important part of the current Science and Technology Expo, the new material Industry Development Summit Forum with the theme of "technological innovation · Enabling new Materials" was held on September 9. Beryllium material, an indispensable strategic high-end metal structure material in China's high strength light material system, became the focus of the conference.

With the rapid development of global metal material industry, new materials are listed as strategic emerging industries in the 14th Five-Year Plan of China, focusing on the development of high-strength light alloy and composite materials. Among them, beryllium material is an indispensable strategic high-end metal structure material in China's high-strength lightweight material system, and also an important research object of national strategic resource utilization and reserve. The beryllium Industry Development Summit forum was specially set up in order to cultivate the advantage and characteristic high-tech equipment manufacturing industry, break through the bottleneck of core technology of high-tech equipment and advanced materials, and promote the in-depth development of high-tech industry.

This forum is jointly organized by mianyang Municipal People's Government and Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, and jointly implemented by Materials Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, Mianyang Economic and Information Technology Bureau, Technical Innovation Strategic Alliance of Beryllium Industry, and Key Laboratory of Surface Physics and Chemistry.More than 100 guests, including academicians, well-known experts and scholars from research institutes, universities and enterprises, attended the forum, and 6 academicians and experts delivered special reports.

Academician He Jilin of Northwest China Institute of Rare Metal Materials gave a report on "Research Progress of Key Rare Metal Metallurgy and New Material Technology Products", and academician Sun Chuanyao of Mining and Metallurgy Technology Group Co., LTD exchanged "Distribution, Mining and Smelting of Beryllium Resources" by online video.

Then, researcher at the China academy of space technology Sun Zezhou, Shanghai too the institute of science and technology co., LTD., general manager and xabi ZhongWuYuan material peng-cheng zhang researchers and a research associate Dong Xian respectively around the space application of beryllium mirror technology, beryllium and beryllium peroxide passivation, beryllium alloy preparation technology and beryllium material parts precision machining technology has carried on the report.

The participants asked questions and had in-depth exchanges with the theme report experts on beryllium resource selection, beryllium smelting and manufacturing, product demand and application, and future development direction of beryllium industry through "online and offline" methods, in order to promote technological innovation and lead the high-quality development of beryllium industry in the future through technological innovation.
