Lithium nitride is a compound with the formula Li₃N. It is the only stable alkali metal nitride. The solid is a reddish-pink color and has a high melting point.

Application

Lithium nitride is a kind of fast ionic conductor and its conductivity is higher than other inorganic lithium salts

In addition to its use as a solid electrolyte, lithium nitride is also an effective catalyst for the conversion of hexagonal boron nitride to cubic boron nitride.
