Lithium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the formula LiOH. It is a white hygroscopic crystalline material.  It is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol.

Application

Lithium hydroxide is one of the components in carbon dioxide purification plant, which is used to absorb carbon dioxide and purify air or other gases.It can also be used as heat transfer medium, electrolyte in battery and catalyst for polymerization.In addition, it can also be used in the ceramic industry, as well as in the production of other lithium compounds.
