Lithium cobalt oxide is a chemical compound with the chemical formula of formula LiCoO2. Lithium cobalt oxide is a dark blue or bluish-gray crystalline solid and is commonly used in the positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries.

As all we may know lithium ion batteries are used in household electronics like mobile phones and laptop and these batteries are considered as the most promising energy storage and conversion device candidates for use in future electric vehicle applications because of having very high energy density.

Lithium cobaltate is used as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries used in mobile phones, laptops and other portable electronic devices.

Lithium ion battery as cathode material: advantages of coated carbon aluminum foil in lithium battery application

1. Inhibit battery polarization, reduce thermal effect, improve rate performance;

2. Reduce battery internal resistance, and significantly reduce the increase of dynamic internal resistance in the cycle process;

3. Improve consistency and increase battery cycle life;

4. Improve the adhesion between the active substance and the collector, and reduce the manufacturing cost of the pole sheet;

5. Protect the collector fluid from corrosion by the electrolyte;

6. Improve the processing performance of lithium iron phosphate and lithium titanate materials.

Conductive coating

It is a breakthrough technological innovation to use functional coating to conduct surface treatment on conductive substrate of battery. Carbon foil/copper foil coating is to evenly and finely coat the dispersed nano conductive graphite and carbon coated particles on aluminum foil/copper foil.It can provide excellent static conductivity, collect the micro current of active material, thus can greatly reduce the contact resistance between positive/negative materials and collector, and can improve the adhesion between the two, can reduce the amount of binder used, so that the overall performance of the battery has a significant improvement. The coating is divided into water (aqueous system) and oil (organic solvent system) two types.
