Lead(II) carbonate (PbCO3)-Powder
Product Description
Characteristic
Cerussite (also known as lead carbonate or white lead ore) is a mineral consisting of lead carbonate (PbCO3), and an important ore of lead.Lead(II) carbonate is practically insoluble in neutral water, but will dissolve in dilute acids.
Chemical formula:PbCO3
Appearance: Colorless, white, gray, blue, or green
Crystal habit: Massive granular, reticulate, tabular to equant crystals
Application
Lead(II) carbonate is used in polymerization catalysts. It serves as a curing agent for silicon resins, heat-resistant lubricants, lead-acid storage batteries, wire-reinforced hoses, thermistors and heat stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride polymers. Further, it is used in electrophotography.
