Characteristic

Gold - Germanium alloy, binary low - temperature solder alloy with germanium added.

Au88Ge12 is a eutectic alloy. The density is 17.5 g/cm³. Melting point is 356 ℃. Brazing temperature 360℃.

The alloy is brittle and difficult to process. After annealing at 200℃ for several minutes, the plasticity can be improved obviously.

Application

Used for soldering semiconductor devices.
