Erbium(III) acetate tetrahydrate participates in the synthesis and determination of crystal structures and stereochemical properties of lanthanide(III) complexes with ethylenediamine-N,N-tetraacetate. Participates in simple one-pot single-step synthesis of rare earth doped spherical mesoporous metal oxide nanospheres with upconversion emission ability in supercritical methanol.
