Cubic boron nitride (C-BN) is a kind of artificial synthetic material, its hardness is second only to diamond, belongs to the superhard material, by hexagonal boron nitride and catalyst synthesis under high temperature and high pressure.

Cubic boron nitride is available in black, amber and gold-plated colors. The particle size is usually less than 1mm, and it has high thermal stability and chemical inertia. Therefore, it is often used as a material for manufacturing ultra-hard tools.
